The two attacks in the Federal Republic of Somalia that used cars were criticised and condemned by the Sultanate of Oman.

“The Sultanate of Oman denounces the two simultaneous bomb-laden automobile attacks that took place in the city of Mahas in the Hiran region of central Somalia. Two car bombs detonated in central Somalia on Wednesday, killing at least 19, according to the terrorist Al-Shabab movement.

This follows Abdullah Adan, a local security official, who said that two booby-trapped cars were used by terrorists to attack the town of Mahas.

The official claimed that the attack was carried out by militants of the Al-Qaeda-affiliated takfiri group “Al-Shabab” in response to the recent extensive military operations the Somali government initiated against it.
