Tanker owned by Israel attacked by Iranian drones in the Arabian Sea

An Israeli-owned tanker was attacked in the Arabian Sea last week by Iranian naval vessels in an apparent suicide drone attack, according to a regional defence source.
Citing a US military official and a regional military source, BBC Persian reported that the drones were used to attack Campo Square. However, there were no reports of casualties.
Reportedly, several Iranian ships and the Shahed 136 drone were used to attack the Liberian-flagged ship. Campo Square is the property of Zodiac Maritime Company, which is owned by Israeli shipping and real-estate magnate Eyal Ofer. The source said that Iran carried out the attack.

British maritime security company Ambrey Intelligence said that unmanned aerial systems attacked two tankers and one bulk carrier in the Arabian Sea. The British Foreign Office said that it was investigating the whole matter.
Yoav Gallant, the Minister of Defence of Israel, said that the Islamic Republic of Iran was expanding its advanced weapons proliferation beyond the region.
Earlier this month, Iran blamed Israel for a drone attack on a military site near the central city of Isfahan. Iran’s UN envoy, Amir Saeid Iravani, said that the primary investigation suggested that Israel was behind the attack. The deputy head of security for Isfahan governorate Mohammad Reza Jan-Nesar said that an explosion occurred in one of the military centres in Iran. The state news agency IRNA reported that the explosions and fires around the Iranian military were caused by “small drones.”
The Wall Street Journal and the New York Times also reported that Israel carried out attacks in the central city of Isfahan, citing US senior intelligence officials.
Last year, Yair Lapid, the former Prime Minister of Israel, went to Germany to persuade Western countries to ditch their nuclear deal with Iran. He also thanked the European powers for their stand over the historic 2015 nuclear deal.
