David Lynch, Iconic Director of ‘Twin Peaks’ and ‘Blue Velvet’ Passed Away
With his dark, surrealistic artistic vision in films like “Blue Velvet” and “Mulholland Drive” as well as on network television with “Twin Peaks” director-writer David Lynch revolutionized American cinema. Sadly, he passed away today and his family took Facebook to inform his death. He was 78 years old.
After a lifetime of smoking, Lynch disclosed in 2024 that he had been diagnosed with emphysema and would probably no longer be able to leave his home to direction. Lynch died less than a week before his 79th birthday.
