First Episode of Turkey! Time to Strike Goes Back in Time
The new anime “Turkey! Time to Strike” surprised fans with its strange twist in the initial episode. It started innocently enough, a high school bowling story, but it did not take long before it became a time-travelling journey. From Bowling to Feudal Japan
We begin at Ikkokukan High School in Nagano, as five girls, Mai, Rina, Sayuri, Nozomi, and Nanase, form a friendly bowling club interested solely in bowling and not competing to be champions. But things change quickly when a bowling ball starts to glow during a match, and the girls eventually find themselves back in time to Japan’s Sengoku era.
A New Direction for the Anime
After the twist was finally revealed on screen, the anime was finally named, “Turkey!– Time to Strike.” There is no more bowling, the story is much deeper as the girls will have to adapt to life in a war-torn era, and join a clan, while simultaneously defining a pathway back home.
