“He will not finish his career at Al Nassr”: Ronaldo’s new manager drops big prediction
Following his explosive interview with Piers Morgan, Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo departed Manchester United by mutual consent last November. He accused Dutch manager Erik ten Hag of betrayal as the player had hardly been used since the former Ajax manager’s arrival at Old Trafford.
Morocco handed an unlikely defeat to Portugal in the quarterfinal of World Cup 2022, piling more misery on the 37-year-old. At the time, Ronaldo was reportedly on the lookout for another European, Champions League playing club. However, upon finding no suitable buyers, he eventually completed a move to the Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, signing a contract worth $200 million a year.
Despite scoring twice in a 4-5 loss against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in what was an exhibition game, the player was recently at the receiving end of criticism after Al Nassr lost the Saudi Cup semifinal 3-1 to Al Ittihad. He missed an opportunity to score in the first half, bringing a major change to the course of the match, the Saudi club’s manager Rudi Garcia mentioned.
In a viral video on social media, a man, who is said to be the Al Nassr director, has expressed his frustration about the result.

Garcia has also made a sensational claim that Ronaldo will eventually make his return back to European football after the ongoing season.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is a positive addition, as he helps to disperse defenders … He will not finish his career at Al Nassr, he will return to Europe,” the former AS Roma manager said.
It remains to be seen whether “one of the best players in the world” honours his two-year contract with Al Nassr or he tries to venture back into European football.
