Train & Cabin Facilities
Owned and operated by Abela Trains, the overnight train has 13 sleeping cars with 10 double cabins per car and one special club car. Cabins have basins, razor plugs, tap water, soap, towels and a storage area above the door. Each cabin has music volume controls, temperature, reading lamps, light controls and a steward call button.
Dining Experience
Dinner and breakfast are served to passengers in their cabins. Dinner consists of fish with potatoes, fillet steak, chicken with vegetables, served with rice, salads, bread, fruit and dessert. Breakfast consists of bread, jam, croissants, butter, toast, cheese, olive and tea.
Schedule & Duration
The sleeper train runs daily with the following timings:
Train 86- Leaves Cairo at 19:45, reaches Luxor at 05:55 and Aswan at 09:25 the following day.
Train 87- Leaves Aswan at 17:15, reaches Luxor at 20:25 and Cairo at 06:25 the following day.
Ticket Pricing
Ticket prices differ depending on cabin type:
- Double Cabin: $120 per person
- Single Cabin: $80 per person
- Children (4-9 years): $70

Tickets can be reserved online using Abela Trains, on train stations at Cairo, Giza or Alexandria or through travel companies. One can book 4 to 5 months in advance.
