Saudi Arabia calls for revival of Israel-Palestinian peace talks
The Cabinet of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has called for the revival of the Israeli-Palestinian peace process and urged the international community to stop Israeli attacks as well as ensure the safety of civilians.
On Tuesday, the Saudi Cabinet called on the international community to fulfil its responsibilities in relation to the Israel-Palestinian peace talks. The Saudi Council of Ministers held the weekly meeting at Irqah Palace in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, the members discussed the latest regional and international developments and issues. According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Ministers also discussed the preparations for the Kingdom’s participation at the G20 (Group of 20) meeting. They also discussed initiatives to address the challenges related to the global economy. The ministers discussed a joint framework initiative for debt treatment.

The ministers also discussed work in cooperation with the Indonesian presidency of the G20 in 2022. Last year, the Kingdom agreed to develop a response to the global food security crisis. They agreed to implement those initiatives in partnership with India.
Majid Al-Qasabi, Acting Minister of Media of Saudi Arabia, said that the Council of Ministers reiterated the Kingdom’s condemnation of the burning of the Quran copies in various European capitals. He also said that the ministers discussed the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in order to diversify the national economy.
The Saudi Cabinet also approved an MoU on desalination cooperation between the Saudi Saline Water Conversion Corporation and the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research. The Saudi Council of Ministers also approved a cooperation agreement between the Kingdom and Uzbekistan ministries of energy. They also approved an agreement between the Saudi Ministry of Education and Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialised Education, and another one between the Saudi and Senegalese governments for cooperation to boost direct investment.
