Saudi Fashion Commission is set to launch a Ramadan pop-up
The fashion commission of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is set to launch a Ramadan pop-up on April 5 to showcase brands from more than 160 local designers.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Ramadan pop-up event will take place from 5 April to 8 April. Curated pop-up shops will reflect Saudi Arabia’s cultural diversity. Local designers will participate in the four-day event.
Burak Cakmak, the chief executive officer (CEO) of the Fashion Commission of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Culture, said that the event would provide support to young and talented Saudi designers by promoting their work to domestic and international consumers.
Meanwhile, the Saudi Ministry of Culture has launched a series of cultural experiences for the holy month of Ramadan. The Ramadan District event has been organised by the Saudi Ministry of Culture across Riyadh, Jeddah and Mecca. This event will take place for 30 days during the holy month of Ramadan in Al-Nada Garden and Al-Hezam Park.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, which is responsible for the management of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, has won the performance excellence award at the Madinah Award Foundation’s ceremony.
The award ceremony took place at Taibah University’s Conference Hall on Wednesday. Prince Faisal bin Salman Al Saud, the governor of Madinah province in Saudi Arabia, and Hajj and Umrah Minister, Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, attended the event.
The holy month of Ramadan started in the Kingdom on March 23. During the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims from different countries usually come to the Kingdom to perform Umrah or a small pilgrimage in the Grand Mosque in the holiest city of Mecca.
This year, around 800,000 Muslims across the world registered for undertaking Umrah in the country. Abdul Rahman Shams, the assistant undersecretary of the Ministry of Hajj for Umrah affairs, confirmed the number of pilgrims.
