As the country’s report of 83 and more people dead over the murder of Mahsa Amini wasn’t enough, the Iranian government has now vowed to try all those celebrities that have supported the protest for the young Iranian Kurdish girl’s death.

Amini died in police custody over trumped up charges, where the Irani moral police subjected her to four days of physical and mental torture over her not having worn her hijab properly.

She later succumbed to certain internal injuries as shared by her parents, went into coma and passed away. For the last 12 days, the country has been burning over her death, women have been protesting by cutting their hair and burning their hijabs.

As of now, Tehran’s provincial governor has been quoted saying that celebrities who have supported the protests and accused them that they have ‘fanned the flames of the riots’.

Actors, journalists, musicians and sportspeople have been known to have participated in the protests and supported the cause of justice for the young 22-year-old Amini. Even the Iranian national football team has reportedly remained in black tracksuits during anthems before a match against Senegal in Vienna, which many saw as a sign of support for the movement.
