The UN has raised concerns about the bad situation in Lebanon because of war between Israel and Hezbollah. This war has left thousands of innocent people of Lebanon without basic  necessities like shelter and food. 

On Tuesday Two United Nations agencies UNICEF and World Food Programme urged the global community for additional funding to respond to the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon. 

The ongoing war between Israel and Hezbollah has displaced hundreds of thousands of innocent people from the region. The war is becoming dense but the area has very limited resources in the region.

UNICEF deputy executive director Ted Chaiban said “We are preparing for the reality that the needs are increasing,” and World Food Programme deputy executive director Carl Skau in a joint statement, adding: “We need additional funding, without conditionalities”.

So, the global agency stressed the urgent need for international support to help those displaced by the conflict. As per the UN reports, they have launched humanitarian aid worth $426 million for Lebanon in month of October 2024.
