400 Days of Conflict: Deadly Airstrike in Gaza Kills 36, Including 15 Children
In a devastating attack Israeli forces struck a residential building in northern Jabalia Gaza, killing at least 36 people and 15 were children. Most of the victims were children and people with disabilities. The airstrike which occurred on Sunday happened as the people of Gaza marked 400 days of relentless conflict.
There were no warnings before this strike hit the building, this building had been the shelter of families who had fled from violence from other parts of northern Gaza. According to Al Jazeera, all occupants in the building were confirmed dead with rescue teams retrieving the last bodies from the rubble hours after the attack.
The medical staff at Kamal Adwan Hospital, struggling to handle the large number of injured people, urgently called for help.
The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights reported that 24 members of one family including 14 children and six women—some with disabilities—were killed in the Jabalia attack. PCHR condemned the attack.
