NBA Player Stephen Curry Joins Investor Lineup in Thriving Women’s 3-on-3 Basketball League

WNBA owner Stephen Curry joins Unrivaled as an investor. The NBA Champion winner who has two MVP titles invested in a funding round in December when companies asked for more money than available and achieved $28 million in total funds.
Unrivaled obtained $35 million in finance with $7 million from its initial seed round. The successful fundraise demonstrates increasing investor belief that the league will succeed and expand its growth path.
“I am proud to join the Unrivaled organization because they lead the way women’s professional sports should be conducted”. According to Curry the league wants to let athletes control their success while providing them support to make it happen.
Curry joins an impressive collection of celebrity investors supporting the upstart league, including:
- Sports stars: Carmelo Anthony, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Alex Morgan, Coco Gauff, Michael Phelps
- Entertainment figures: Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis
- Coaching legends: Dawn Staley, Geno Auriemma
