The last and fifth Test match of India vs England, which was announced at Kennington Oval, started with a very big change in both the respective teams. India vs England 5th Test will see four main changes in the Indian playing 11, and some of the shining bright stars will be missing, Rishabh Pant and Jasprit Bumrah. Why Rishabh Pant is Missing from India vs England 5th Test
The reason why Rishabh Pant is not in the India vs England 5th Test is that the player sustained a serious injury in the 4th Test match. The previous match stretched to the last day of the first day, and in the process, the wicket-keeper batsman fractured his foot, rendering him unfit for about six weeks to come.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the injury of Pant and named his replacement. Narayan Jagadeesan is a part of the Indian team as the replacement for Pant, and Dhruv Jurel is the wicket keeper in the playing XI of the Indian team in this India vs England 5th Test.
It is also going to be a major setback to the Indian cricket team as Pant will not be able to play in the 2025 Asia Cup due to this injury. It is the first time that Jurel has been the main wicket-keeper batsman since Pant was on the Test team.
Jasprit Bumrah’s Planned Rest from India vs England 5th Test
In contrast to the injury-imposed absence by Pant, the decision of not including Jasprit Bumrah during the India vs England 5th Test was planned. The management of the team had already decided that Bumrah would only play three Tests in the course of this series to manage workload.
