Visa Updates in Oman for 2025
The visa policy of Oman has also been transformed in 2025 in order to make travelling and working easier. Visitors are now able to stay in the country for a maximum of 14 days without needing to take out visas or pilot licenses to visit over 100 countries such as the US, UK, Germany, Canada, Japan, and Australia. This measure is an attempt to promote international travel and tourism.
The citizens of the other countries would be able to request an eVisa online and spend 10, 30 or 90 days in the country, depending on their purposes. It is all digitalized and provides the chance to upload the necessary documents and pay the fees through an electronic method of execution.
Moreover, there is also the GCC Unified Tourist Visa, which is in the planning stage and has been forecasted to start in late 2025 or early 2026 in Oman. This area visa will enable the tourists to move around all the six Gulf countries which are Oman, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, and Kuwait on a single entry permit which would also enhance inter-Gulf touring and economic interlinkage.
The visa-free access to Oman is extended to the citizens of India, Egypt, Vietnam, and Morocco subjected to the responsible possession of visas or residence permits to the conservative nations such as the US, UK, Schengen states or the GCC nations. It is an all rounded solution that promotes tourism and mobility of skilled expatriates.
