The Apple Foundation Model is the name of the large, on-device and cloud-assisted AI models by Apple that are used to drive advanced intelligence throughout its ecosystem. These models are designed with a high degree of attention to privacy, efficiency, and a distinct level of seamlessness and integration, making them the foundation of Apple’s generative AI functions in iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS.
