For the fifth consecutive day, Texas reported more than 10,000 new Covid 19 cases, according to the Department of State Health Services. Saturday’s 10,158 new infections bring total positives to 317,730. The DSHS reported an additional 130 deaths. Texas has experienced 673 deaths in the past six days, bringing the total to 3,865. The number of hospitalizations is also increasing.

In Iran, another 209 deaths from coronavirus-related complications have been reported. The spokesperson for the Tehran Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari, said highlighting that the total number of deaths in the country is 14,188. There are 2,182 new cases of coronaviruses in the last 24, 1,324 of which have been hospitalized. In total,Sadat Lari affirmed that Iran recorded 273,788, of which 3,566 are in serious condition, hospitalized in intensive care.In Brazil, where coronavirus and measures to contain it have been highly politicized, cases continue to rise – although WHO announced earlier this week that the growth was no longer exponential.
Total cases in South Africa are 350,879 and 4,948 victims. The country has seen one of the largest increases in infections in a single day, recording the largest number of confirmed infections on the African continent.In Mexico, the Ministry of Health reported 7,615 new infections yesterday evening compared to the previous day, bringing the total number of cases to 338,913. As reported by the CNN, official data indicates 578 new deaths, for a total death toll of 38,888, making Mexico the fourth country in the world with the highest number of victims after the United States, Brazil and the United Kingdom.
Scientists have warned that India may still be months away from peaking, despite the country already having the third highest number of confirmed cases. Hospitals in the worst affected cities, including Mumbai and Bangalore, have been overwhelmed by patients. India recorded another 34,884 infections over a 24-hour period on Saturday and another 671 coronavirus-related deaths.All India and the world of cinema are in suspense for the actress Aishwarya Rai hospitalized in intensive care with her whole family.
