Hamas briefs embassies regarding ‘Zionist plans’ for Al-Aqsa Mosque
About the “Zionist plans” for Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement briefed fifty embassies and foreign organisations in the occupied Palestinian lands.
Details of the meeting between senior Israeli police officers and settler leaders participating in raids on the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem were included in a letter provided by Hamas. Ayala Ben-Gvir, the wife of incoming Minister of National Security and far-right MK Itamar Ben Gvir, reportedly attended the meeting.
The movement informed the embassies in the letter that was also distributed to the media that “the settler leaders called during the conference for an increase in the number and duration of raids at Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
It further stated that the illegal immigrants wanted less police oversight and more gates allowed for them heading into the mosque compound. Hamas said that the settlers’ requests had been addressed to the point where “the settlers’ movement, safety, and security” had been ensured.

“These deadly intentions and policies will inflame the situation inside and outside the occupied Palestinian territory,” the Palestinian resistance movement noted.
Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is the third holiest mosque for more than 1.6 billion Muslims worldwide, was emphasised by Hamas as being unlike any other mosque and deserving of religious protection.
Furthermore, the movement said that verified historical studies released by UN organisations had not established beyond a reasonable doubt any Jewish religious or other right to the Noble Sanctuary of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
It further stated that the occupying force is urged to maintain the status quo by international conventions and resolutions addressing the situation in the mosque. International law rejects Israel’s claim that Jerusalem is its “undivided capital.”
Hamas declared that “the Palestinians are ready to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque at whatever cost.” “As long as there are Palestinians on the planet, Israeli objectives will fail. The evil Zionist plans should be stopped by the international community.”
