Hamas Only Keen To Exhaust Israel’s Military, No Deal For Hostage Release

With Israel and the Hamas failing to reach a ceasefire deal, the Gaza-based militant group has given new instructions to its fighters to kill the hostages if Israeli troops closed in. But this hasn’t been a first time for Hamas to do so. A report, citing a document attributed to Yahya Sinwar, states that the terrorist organization has been manipulating the international community and torturing the hostage families.
Hamas has oftenly highlighted the capacity of its armed forces, the Israeli political and military apparatus, and increasing international pressure on Israel. Moreover, the group has released videos of hostages, footages showing the hostages begging for mercy and pleading Israel to help in their release.
However, Israel and Hamas are not keen to end the war or deal any sort of deal that their hurt their respective sides. Hamas doesn’t want to release the hostages amid ongoing strikes and bombardment from Israeli Defense Forces. And Israel wants to eliminate Hamas for good.
Hamas on Psychological Terror
Over 40,000 people, including women and children, have been killed in the Gaza war. And now the IDF has even expanded its operations and raids in the West Bank. As such, Hamas continues to give out footage of the Israeli hostages in an effort to stop more bombings.
Seeing the videos, Israelis have come out on the roads to protest against the Benjamin Netanyahu government demanding a ceasefire deal to get the remaining hostages released. But the Israeli government is not ready to yield. Israeli police have been working round the clock to get the protesters off the street, even assaulting some, to discourage them.
Regional experts say the Hamas is changing is tactics as Israel remains adamant on eradicating the militant group. Furthermore, Hamas is playing on the fact that Israel is not interested in getting the hostages released.
