hezbollah fires rockets near ben gurion airport; operations continue normal

On Wednesday Hezbollah announced that it had launched missiles targeting a military base close to Ben Gurion Airport, Israel’s primary international airport.

Israeli media reported that a rocket had indeed landed near the airport but according to Israel’s Airports Authority operations at Ben Gurion Airport were continuing as normal.

Arab news and several other news sources of Arabic region confirmed the news in their report.

According to Times of Israel, “The IDF said earlier that 10 rockets were launched in the attack, most of which were intercepted. One rocket struck in the Ben Gurion Airport area”

More about the tensions between Israel and Hezbollah:

Israeli forces and Hezbollah have been fighting for over a year. The clashes began when Hezbollah started firing rockets after the Hamas-led attack on southern Israel in October last year, which triggered the ongoing war in Gaza.

The situation on the Lebanese front has worsened since mid-September.
