The second leg semi final between Inter Miami and Vancouver Whitecaps ended with the landslide victory of Vancouver by crashing down the dream of Inter Miami. Despite Jordi Alba’s early goal which gave a glimmer of hope to their fans, they couldn’t hold off Vancouver from scoring three goals in the second half.
Though it was a painful loss to the fans they felt disappointed to look at even legends like Lionel Messi to take his team forward who has been dazzling with his brilliance in a significant tournament. Some of the missed chances by Luis Suarez that mattered the most to their team was faltered by the defense.
With this defeat, they are encountering a second consecutive semi final exit in the tournament, though it was a bitter pill the supporters stood by them throughout the game both in their highs and lows. The dream to lift the trophy might be halted temporarily but their passion and resilience will always remain an inspiration to billions.
