Today, the Land Transport Regulatory Commission (LTRC) has launched the tenders for public transport in Jordan for the year 2026, Jordan Public Transport Tenders, opening a request for bids to provide services on 22 crucial routes transporting passengers between the Jerash and Mafraq governorates. The last date for transport operators to respond is October 25.
Expanding the Northern Connectivity Network
As part of a wider national modernization plan, the LTRC is actively striving for the transformation of the public transport system in the country. This tender is part of a broader plan to expand the transport infrastructure, ensuring the improvement of the northern regions. As reported by Jordan news, getting reliable commercial operators for the 22 routes in Jerash and Mafraq is key to ensuring inter-governorate mobility.
Building on Recent Operational Successes – Jordan Public Transport Tenders
The issuance of the current tender is built upon successful trial transport operations undertaken earlier this year. According to Ammon news, previous projects were successful and had fairly low prices. The issuance of these 22 routes through the Jordan Tenders service would ensure a regulated and ordered schedule of public departures from public transport terminals.
Launch of a direct route between Jerash and the Medical Cit.
The extensive infrastructure enhancements back up the Jordanian Ministry of Transport’s foremost goal of offering citizens safe and economical transportation options. In conclusion, the magnitude of the tenders for public transport in Jordan 2026 sets a new benchmark for the national transport systems.
