Morocco Expands High-Speed Rail Network with €250m Contracts

ONCF selected Colas Rail and SETEC to manage €250 million worth of infrastructure construction for Morocco’s Kenitra-Marrakech high-speed rail project. The consortium must construct track installations with power lines and substations for a €200 million order. One single path makes up the 346-kilometer route.
The partnership between Colas Rail and SETEC receives €50 million to rebuild 112 track kilometers alongside their tasks as railway and road infrastructure builders. Each specific project will reach completion in 2028.
Hervé Le Joliff works for Colas Rail as Executive Vice-President and he says they are pleased to support Morocco’s high-speed rail system with more advancements because of their previous work installing train tracks and power lines from 2014 to 2018. Morocco continues building its Kénitra-Casablanca-Marrakech high-speed railway while various constructors operate station and transmission line projects.
