Morocco’s Young Players Set for Historic U17 AFCON Final Showdown

The Morocco under-17 national football team is rounding up its preparations for the biggest match ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final against their Malian counterparts, due to take place on Saturday afternoon at the El Bachir Stadium in Mohammedia.
A touch of class was added to the last training session of the team on Friday, April 18, by the royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) President Fouzi Lekjaa wearing an appropriate attire. At such a prestigious event, Lekjaa delivered words of encouragement and support concerning the championship match.
“Players have all the tools to win this final,” Lekjaa remarked, making his unconditional support clear for the squad as they prepare for what he described as a historic moment in Moroccan football. During his motivational visit, Lekjaa urged the young players to approach the final with confidence and determination.
Evidently though, that was not merely the issue of the federation president but also a reassurance given to the team that the whole nation is behind them, as fans in Morocco eagerly await their display in the final. Last Friday was spent with an official on the preparation of what’s probably the last tactical shifts and strategic refinements needed towards the championship bout.
The match will start at 3.00 PM local time on Saturday and football enthusiasts throughout Morocco are poised behind their young talents. The victory would add to Morocco’s growing image as a future powerhouse in African football across all age groups.
