Real Madrid Pledges €1M for Storm Recovery in Spain, La Liga Joins Nationwide Support

Real Madrid has announced to support with €1 million to those who are affected by the recent DANA storm. This storm DANA has caused widespread destruction and crisis in Spain, particularly in the Valencian Community.
This news came into light after a post on official X handle of Real Madrid. Where they had written , “Real Madrid donate one million euros to help victims of DANA storm.

According to the website of Real Madrid; “ The Real Madrid Foundation and the Red Cross have today launched a fundraising campaign to provide support for those impacted by the storm. Real Madrid will kick-start the campaign with a donation of one million euros, which will go towards helping the numerous families currently dealing with what is a critical situation, and who are in need of all our assistance and solidarity.”
In collaboration with the Real Madrid Foundation and the Red Cross, the club has launched a fundraising campaign to assist families and individuals facing hardships due to the storm. The funds raised will be managed by the Red Cross it will be used to help who are in need.
In addition to Real Madrid’s efforts La Liga has joined forces with the Red Cross to raise further support. During this weekend’s matches, La Liga will use national broadcasts to encourage donations for the storm victims.
Real Madrid’s statement highlighted the importance of standing with communities in times of crisis, stating that their donation would help many families navigating this difficult period.
In tribute, a minute of silence will be observed before each of the 16 La Liga matches this weekend. Due to the storm’s impact, five matches in the Valencian Community, including Valencia vs. Real Madrid and Villarreal vs. Rayo Vallecano, have been postponed.
The combined efforts of clubs, fans, and community initiatives represent a united effort to bring relief to those affected by this tragedy.
