Released Palestinian Prisoners in Critical Condition, Immediately Hospitalized in Ramallah

The Palestine Red Crescent Society informed immediately after four Palestinian detainees reached Ramallah West Bank they needed hospital treatment. The rapidly arranged medical treatment reveals how badly prisoners suffered from torture and starvation during their imprisonment.
The most urgent case belongs to Mansour Mouqada who stays paralyzed below his waist because of his 2002 arrest. A report from the Palestinian Prisoners Society shows Mouqada needed a medical procedure that required a man-made stomach implant while detained. His medical state is critical because his intestines bulge through his body and give him constant agonizing pain all over his body. Iyad Haribat acquired severe brain disorders after spending three months under interrogation when US forces detained him in 2002. He shows tremors in his muscles plus struggles to recall things temporarily and keeps losing his balance.
The medical system requires these released prisoners to go hospital right away because they desperately need both medical treatment and rehabilitation services. The PPS recorded that many released prisoners got worse health after leaving Israeli detention showing poor quality treatment and healthcare there. These situations force us to rethink how prisoners are treated in this area based on their future well-being.
