Saudi club Al-Ahli aims to sign Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat
Al-Ahli Saudi Football Club, a professional football club based in Jeddah, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, wants to sign Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United.
Sofyan Amrabat is a popular footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Serie A club Fiorentina. He also represents the Morocco national team in various competitions.
Manchester United submitted an official bid to acquire the 26-year-old footballer Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat. Manchester United aim to strengthen their team ahead of next season.
He was amongst the best players in the FIFA World Cup 2022. He played an important role in helping Morocco reach the semi-finals of the World Cup.
Manchester United have already signed Mason Mount and Andre Onana. United also secured an agreement to sign Rasmus Hojlund from Fiorentina in a deal worth €85 million.
Recently, French winger Allan Saint-Maximin joined Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli. He is set to play with other famous footballers Roberto Firmino, Edouard Mendy and Riyad Mahrez at Al-Ahli.
Recently, Riyad Mahrez took part in his first training session with the team in Austria. He left Manchester City to join the Saudi club on a deal worth 35 million euros ($38.53 million) plus five million in add-ons.
Mahrez said, “To play for Manchester City has been an honour and privilege. I came to the City to win trophies and enjoy my football and I achieved all that and so much more.” He further said, “To Al-Ahli fans, I am here for you guys. I am very excited and happy to be part of this great club.”
Edouard Mendy joined the club in June. This month, Roberto Firmino, a Brazilian professional footballer, also joined the Saudi club.
Earlier this year, Portuguese famous footballer Cristiano Ronaldo joined the Saudi Al Nassr club.
