15 Palestinian Prisoners Arrive in Turkey After Release Under Ceasefire Deal

According to Reuters Fifteen Israel released Palestinian prisoners under Hamas’s January 19 peace deal with Israel who reached Turkey via Egypt on Tuesday according to both Egyptian and Turkish government sources as well as Hamas press.
The prisoners represent the initial group of released inmates who entered a third nation outside of Egypt. The ceasefire pact stipulates the permanent expulsion of prisoners who conducted violent attacks against Israel from entering Palestinian lands. Under the terms of the ceasefire agreement, Turkey accepted a request from authorities by allowing the prisoners’ transfer starting in Egypt.
Some regional nations should consider taking on responsibilities in this matter as we see it as beneficial for their participation. Fidan expressed that Egypt along with Qatar could take part in this work during the joint press briefing with Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty in Ankara. The news indicates that authorities plan to relocate further released prisoners to Algeria and Qatar.
The Gaza ceasefire phase one has resulted in Hamas releasing eighteen hostages and Israel releasing 583 Palestinian prisoners who then moved to Egypt.
