The Lebanese Minister George Kordahi : It’s time to resign

Lebanon–Kordahi has described the war in Yemen as pointless considering it a Saudi-led coalition’s assault. Saudi Arabia responded by recalling its ambassador and banning all Lebanese imports, thus impacting hundreds of enterprises and cutting off hundreds of millions of dollars from Lebanon, which is already in the midst of a massive economic crisis.
Kordahi said: “The time has come to resign”, and he is convinced that he took the right decision at the right time. The newspaper reported that after consulting with his references and allies, Kordahi decided to announce his resignation from the Ministry of Information and not from the Republican Palace or the government palace so as not to be called (resignation) for the benefit of anyone.
The sources said Kordahi’s resignation aims to facilitate negotiations by French President Emmanuel Macron to resolve the dispute between Lebanon and the Gulf states during his planned visit to Saudi Arabia this weekend.
