The Coach of the Algerian national team dedicates the championship title to the Palestinian people

Algeria–After the Algerian national team won the Arab Cup , the Algerian team’s coach Majid Bougherra dedicated the championship title to the Palestinian people In press statements , Bougherra said: ‘I congratulate myself and all the Palestinian people and the people of Gaza.’
He added: ‘We played very strong matches throughout the tournament, and in the end we won the title. I thank the players, my colleagues in the technical staff and the fans for their support in all the matches.’ He pointed out that this title is the first for Algeria in the Arab Cup during its participation in the tournament .
The Algerian team won the title against its Tunisian counterpart, with two goals. Many fans of both teams brought the Palestinian flag to the stadium, along with their national flags, to show their support for the Palestinian cause and strong opposition to Israel’s occupying entity as the match took place amid rising political tensions between the two neighbors, particularly in the aftermath of Morocco’s disputed rapprochement with Israel last year, which Algeria has consistently opposed.
