Hamas Proposes Non- Partisan Government for Post-War Gaza and West Bank

Hamas has proposed the corporation of an independent government composed of non-partisan figures to manage the Gaza Strip and the Israeli-occupied West Bank after the war, during ongoing ceasefire negotiations. This crucial development was announced by a member of Hamas’s political bureau, Hossam Badran, focusing on the need for Palestinian self-administration.
Hossam Bardan announced “ We proposed that a non-partisan national competency government manage Gaza and the West Bank after the war.” Badran also underscored the administration of Gaza is a strictly Palestinian matter, that has to do nothing with any external power and influence. “The administration of Gaza after the war is a Palestinian internal matter without any external interference and we will not discuss the day after the war in Gaza with any external parties,” added Badran.
Mediation and Government Structure
An unknown source from Hamas officials has confirmed that the mentioned proposal was presented to the mediators responsible for negotiations. The proposed government targets to manage Gaza and the West Bank during the starting phase after the conflict, with plans to hold general elections in future. This proposal is supposed to normalize the region and lay the groundwork for a democratically elected government.
