Turkey Calls Out Israel on Syrian Occupation, Faces Backlash Over Its Own Actions

Turkey has criticized Israel accusing it of taking over Syrian land and breaking the 1974 “Separation of Forces Agreement.” 

Turkish Ministry of Defense called Israel’s actions harmful to the region. They stated that Israel is creating instability in the region.

According to the statement: Actions of Israel are increasing tensions and it is the reason of  anxiety among Syrian civilians. The Ministry emphasized that such actions are benefiting terrorist groups at a time when peace and security in Syria are critical.

Many critics are now argueing that Turkey who is questioning Israel has also occupied 8,835 square kilometers of Syrian territory. Though Turkey is performing same act as Israel but questioning Israel.

This situation is showing that though Syria is hoping for a new government but the middle east is still not stable, the power politics is making the region unstable. This condemnation message from the Turkish Ministry of Defense’s came at a time when the region is facing heightened tensions.
