SpaceX scrubs Starship launch: Let us understand

Billionaire Elon Musk’s space company SpaceX has aborted the latest launch of its gigantic Starship rocket. The lift off of the 123-metre-tall rocket got scrubbed just before 6 PM local time on Monday at the facility in Texas.

The Starship team has launched a probe into the postponement of the launch. The setback to Musk’s Mars ambitions comes just a short time after the earlier Starship test ended in an explosion, making global headlines.

The eighth test flight included key goals, such as the deployment of a payload into orbit. Four dummy Starlink satellites are also set to be released during the 90-minute flight test. This is truly incredible for the space company.

Starlink’s huge payload capacity means that it is likely to be responsible for launching SpaceX’s next-gen Starlink satellites into orbit, though the primary goal for the rocket is to conduct missions to the Red Planet and beyond.
