Allianz Group invests in empowering girls’ education in Türkiye

Allianz Group and Allianz Turkey announced a `€2 million investment to support girl education in Turkey. The funds will go to the construction of a dormitory in Arnavutköy, Istanbul, in cooperation with Koruncuk Foundation, where they hope to foster a safe and supportive environment for girls in need: adequate shelter coupled with the opportunity to attend school, enjoy cultural activities, and receive counseling.
The new dormitory shall be built over a 2,230-square-meter area with living quarters, a library, social spaces, and a dining hall. The operation further strengthens the relations between Allianz and Koruncuk Foundation, which were first established back in 2016. Apart from this initiative, Allianz Turkey provides scholarships and other related activities to assist young women in pursuing their education and careers, including mentoring, vocational training, and job openings.
During the inauguration ceremony, Tolga Gürkan, CEO of Allianz Turkey, further related the company mission on sustainability and equal access to education, viewing quality education as being the foundation on which a better future must be constructed.
This initiative mirrors the broader purpose of Allianz in promoting girls and communities through education.
