The Bahrain Space Agency (BSA) kicked off a special lecture series for school teachers to mobilize awareness and knowledge of Bahrain’s growing space sector with the Ministry of Education.

The teacher’s lecture series began on May 8th, 2025, in Manama to provide Bahrain’s teachers with the tools, resources, and knowledge to introduce space-related topics into classroom learning settings. This is part of a long-term strategy for the country to prepare future generations for careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Dr. Mohamed Ebrahim Al-Aseeri, who is the CEO of the National Space Science Agency (NSSA), stated the program is a significant element to ensure involvement from the education sector, to support Bahrain’s space journey moving forward. He emphasized the importance of teachers and the responsibility they have to motivate their students and provide value to the role of space science in awareness and knowledge of space.
