egypt aims to boost tourism with golf and new ideas

Omar Talaat Mostafa, CEO of Talaat Mostafa Group (TMG), recently shared an ambitious vision to grow Egypt’s tourism sector and the number of visitors to Egypt.

Mostafa conveyed this vision during an event where he discussed the importance of investing in luxury resorts, golf tourism, and quality hospitality for international tourists.

Mostafa stated that Egypt has a great opportunity to be ranked among the world’s best tourist destinations, however; he feels this would require world class resorts, entertainment, and infrastructure. TMG is one of Egypt’s big developers with tourism projects that would all meet those world class level of standards.

A key part of growth is golf tourism. Mostafa notes that Egypt has less than 25 golf courses. There are approximately 10,000 golf rounds played per year in Egypt, which pales in comparison to the international average. Mostafa believes that by building additional golf resorts and marketing golf tourism on a global scale, Egypt can attract this high-spending segment of tourists.

TMG is additionally accelerating training staff and enhancing the services provided to visitors, which includes aligning with the best international hotel brands along with the best international minds in Egypt.

Omar Talaat Mostafa’s plans – are not only about bringing more tourists to Egypt — but in the end, will help to create thousands of jobs and impact the Egyptian economy.
