Beyonce concert tickets: Has the expense of touring exploded in recent years?

Fans of superstar Beyonce are taking the day off and clearing their credit cards as tickets for her latest global tour go on general sale. The six UK dates at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London in June come after her hit Renaissance Tour.
Pre-sales had been happening for a number of days. The general sale started at 12:00 GMT today. Ticketmaster has highlighted that prices for Beyonce’s concert range from £71 to £950. Nonetheless, has going to big gigs become a costlier pursuit?
This appears to be the case. Before the pandemic, the cost of getting into a concert had been increasing at 3% to 4% annually, as per Billboard Boxscore. That number more than doubled as touring resumed. Prices are increasing by some 9.9% per year.
Ticketing experts are of the opinion that the expense of touring has exploded in recent years. Beyonce’s team takes 16 carriages to ferry her concert across the globe – and the cost of fuel, accomodation and visas have certainly increased.
