China Targets Google with Antitrust Probe – New Restrictions Expected?

On Tuesday China announced that it will start an antitrust investigation into Google. The State Administration for Market Regulation said the investigation is due to alleged anti-monopoly violations.
According to an official statement by the Chinese government, Google is accused of breaking the Anti-Monopoly Laws in China. Though the government has shared specific details about the violations till now.
This move by China to regulate big tech companies and their market influence is gaining global attention. Google has not yet responded to the investigation.
