Efforts needed to bring Europe, US on the same page with respect to Russia
Russia–Russia’s latest attempts at annexing Ukraine have not gone unnoticed by any country in the world and hence, world leaders have decided to stand strong against these attempts and let democracy prevail.
However, the way all of these governments function are very different from one another and hence difficulties are visible when it comes to taking steps in this regard. Ukraine is under immense pressure and the only way things come to an end from Russia’s side is when the United States and NATO resolve the ongoing conflict.
These are the world leaders and only if they mount correct and precise pressure on the Russian government and orient the talks correctly, there can be a considerable amount of improvement in Moscow’s behaviour. Having said that, it is nearly impossible to convince Russia at this point.

Moscow has already pointed out what all it needs to reshape Europe’s post cold war landscape and get back in the game with a lead over the United States but obviously, the US will not hand over the trophy to it. Hence, Russia is attempting to irk the West, especially the United States, by making its move towards Ukraine.
Amid all of this, reports of the European countries and the US not being on the same page at least as per the conclusion they want out of the deal with Russia is what is making experts think over the trust statement. Dismissing all such concerns, Retired Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges, former commander of U.S. Army forces in Europe stated, “The decision that President Joe Biden or Secretary of State Antony Blinken say, it represents U.S. allies and that it is facing a united front.”
He also added that it is foolish of Putin to think that other European nations are not stepping up efforts. Be it Germany, UK or France, despite whatever is assumed about them, are absolutely on the same page.
