Hezbollah Targets Israel as U.S. Mediates Cease-Fire Talks
Hezbollah launched an attack on central Israel and the Sharon Plains on Tuesday. A missile landed near Netanya causing light injuries to two people. The Israel Defense Forces reported that at least five projectiles were fired from Lebanon. Some were intercepted while others landed within Israel. This attack followed a missile strike on the greater Tel Aviv area on Monday, which caused damage and injuries.
In response to the escalating tensions U.S. Special Envoy Amos Hochstein arrived in Beirut on Tuesday. His visit aims to push for a cease-fire between Israel and Hezbollah. Hochstein is expected to receive Lebanon’s final response to a proposed deal and deliver it to Israel.
Upon landing at Rafic Hariri International Airport, Hochstein and his delegation underwent standard security checks. He voluntarily placed his bag on the scanner, complying with airport regulations.
