Iran’s Afshin Ghaderzadeh Is Crowned The World’s Shortest Man
The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Afshin Esmaeil Ghaderzadeh has become the world’s shortest man, according to Guinness World Records, a reference book published annually listing world records.
Esmaeil Ghaderzadeh is 7 centimetres shorter than the previous record holder, 36-year-old Edward “Nino” Hernandez from Colombia. The 21-year-old Esmaeil Ghaderzadeh’s height is 65.24 centimetres (2 feet, 1.6 inches). He is also the fourth-shortest man verified by Guinness World Records.
His height measurements were taken three times over the past 24 hours to know his accurate height. According to Guinness World Records, he has been found in Bukan County, West Azerbaijan Province of Iran. The man can speak Kurdish and Persian languages. He said, “Just thinking about being part of the Guinness World Records family is like a dream.” He said that global recognition would help him to achieve his dreams.

Who is Iran’s Afshin Ghaderzadeh?
Esmaeil Ghaderzadeh’s early life was very difficult in Iran. He could not attend school due to his small height. According to his father, Esmaeil Ghaderzadeh’s height and physical weakness were the main reasons that affected his education and literacy. His short stature prevented him from getting an education and a job in the country. Reportedly, his family struggles due to high living expenses, medication and treatment.
However, the man knows how to use a smartphone. He reportedly said, “Phones are difficult to carry, yet I still manage.” His favourite cartoon is Tom & Jerry, and his favourite character is Tom. The man is also fond of football. His favourite football players are Ali Daei from Iran and Cristiano Ronaldo from Portugal. Esmaeil Ghaderzadeh’s family call him by the name ‘Mohamad’. Esmaeil Ghaderzadeh likes to wear custom-made suits. He loves to dance to any Iranian Kurdish music playing.
