The Los Angeles Lakers booked their playoff roster position as they settled at No. 3 in the Western Conference with a 50-32 record during NBA 2025 playoff time. The Minnesota Timberwolves stand at number six and they will play the Lakers in the first games of the playoffs.
ESPN’s Dave McMenamin confirmed that although 2-way players Jemison III and Koloko will work with the Lakers through playoffs they must sit out games because they did not sign full contracts before season closure. The team will keep both players involved as part of their regular team practices to help support the Lakers during playoff games.
According to MSN, the Lakers wanted to maintain their winning team chemistry for the postseason.
Everyone will watch the debut of LeBron James and Luka Doncic teaming up as they chase the championship title. Luka Doncic delivered outstanding performances against the Minnesota teams during previous playoff matchups when he played with Dallas. Last season, while facing Dallas in the Western Conference Finals, Doncic averaged 32.4 points, collected 9.6 rebounds, and dished out 8.2 assists against Minnesota.
