Lebanese Army Takes Over Former Palestinian Militant Post in Kfar Zabad
The Lebanese Army has taken over a military post in Kfar Zabad, Zahle. This military post was previously run by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine – General Command (PFLP-GC).
The Jbailet Ain el Baida post is located under the Lebanese territory. This move by military of Lebanon was to restore control and improve security across the country’s border. As the tensions are increasing across the region to stay alert is important to avaoid any kind of unwanted invasion, occupation and tensions.
During this operation the Lebanese army discovered and seized a large stockpile of weapons,and other military equipment.

Army command said the forces took over the sites in addition to “seizing quantities of weapons and ammunition and military gear.”
It added that the army “continues to take control of positions previously occupied by Palestinian groups within Lebanon as part of efforts to maintain security and stability and enforce state authority in various areas.”
This move is part of a broader campaign which is aimed strengthen the sovereignty of Lebanon. Authorities are working to make the region stable and prevent war.
The actions by army of Lebanon shows their strong ommitment to control its areas and it is a part of maintaining peace and order within Lebanon.
