Morocco and Egypt Strengthen Trade Relations with 'Fast Track' Agreement

Through their new Fast Track arrangement Morocco and Egypt aim to make it easier for Moroccan companies to sell their goods to Egypt by concentrating export growth in automotive products. Ryad Mezzour and Omar Hejira worked alongside Hassan Al-Khatib to develop this new business deal.

Although trade issues between countries will be handled through direct official links the agreement focuses on boosting Morocco’s exports to Egypt while increasing their sales value. A business partnership workshop in April will enable both countries’ private enterprises to develop new business connections. Moroccan business representatives will travel to Egypt next few weeks to find new ways to expand their trading partnership.

These nations decided to set the Business Council in motion once again to plan a joint commercial commission meeting. During their meeting, Minister Al-Khatib praised the strong connection between Morocco and Egypt with their mutual support in international organizations. Morocco and Egypt continue strengthening their long-standing partnership by developing this initiative after their foreign ministers met in September 2024.
