NBA Star Bojan Bogdanovic Faces Uncertain Future After Season-Ending Injury

Brooklyn Nets forward Bojan Bogdanovic will miss the remainder of the 2024-25 season after deciding to undergo foot surgery, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. The veteran forward, who has yet to play this season, has struggled with lingering injuries following surgeries on his left foot and left wrist last year.
Injury Setback Ends His Season
Bogdanovic was hopeful for a return but his foot didn’t heal as expected, forcing another procedure. Reports suggest this latest surgery will be on his left foot again, casting doubt on his ability to regain full health.
At 36 years old, the sharpshooting forward has been a key scorer throughout his career, averaging 15.6 points per game with .460/.394/.859 shooting splits in 719 NBA games. He has played for six teams since entering the league in 2014, including the Nets, Wizards, Pacers, Jazz, Pistons, and Knicks.

What’s Next for the Nets?
With Bogdanovic’s $19 million expiring contract, he was viewed as a potential buyout candidate for a playoff-bound team. However, this latest injury removes him from that conversation, making his NBA future even more uncertain.
Brooklyn already has one open roster spot, so there is no urgent need to waive Bogdanovic. However, if the team decides to create another opening, he could become a candidate for release before the end of the season.
Will Bogdanovic Play in the NBA Again?
