Squid Game Season 2, the second season of the 2021 thriller show Squid Game, has been making headlines in recent days. Netflix is all set to release Squid Game Season 2.

On Saturday, Netflix announced at its Tudum event out of Brazil that season 2 added an additional four cast members, Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon and Yang Dong-guen. They will join the members of season 1: Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-Hun, Wi Ha-jun and Gong Yoo.
Squid Game Season 2 release date
The official release date of Squid Game Season 2 has not been announced yet. However, it will be released on Netflix in 2024.
Earlier, Hwang Dong-hyuk, the director of Squid Game Season 2, said, “We will start shooting Season 2 in 2023, and it’ll be released the following year (2024).”
According to Variety, season 2 of the show will feature tough competition, with an additional four members.

Squid Game Season 1 was a hit show on Netflix in 2021, pulling in 1.65 billion hours of viewing in just 28 days. The series received Gotham Awards in the category Breakthrough Series – Long Form. It received Hollywood Music in Media Awards, People’s Choice Awards, Art Directors Guild Awards, Critics’ Choice Television Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards, Hollywood Critics Association TV Awards, the 26th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival Award, and Primetime Emmy Awards.
With 14 nominations at the Emmys, Squid Game Season 1 took home a total of six awards for outstanding directing, production design, special visual effects, and stunt performance. Actors Lee You-mi and Lee Jung-jae also won the award.

Season 1 of the show has an IMDb rating of 8/10. It has 95% of the votes on Rotten Tomatoes. It is one of the most successful shows on Netflix.
