Sudanese Military Plane Crashes Near Khartoum, Killing Officers and Civilians

A Sudanese military plane crashed on Tuesday near Wadi Seidna air base. The sources claim that this happened just outside the capital, Khartoum. The army confirmed that both military personnel and civilians lost their lives in the crash.

Key Facts About the Crash:

  • Where: Near Wadi Seidna air base, Omdurman
  • Deaths & Injuries: At least 10 people died, and several were hurt
  • Possible Cause: Likely a technical issue
  • Damage: Nearby homes were affected, and power went out in some areas

The Karari Resistance Committee reported that 10 bodies and multiple injured individuals were taken to Al-Nao Hospital in Omdurman. Witnesses described hearing a loud explosion, and some homes were damaged.

This incident comes just a day after the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) claimed to have shot down a Russian-made Ilyushin plane in South Darfur.

Because of the clashes between army chief Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan and RSF commander Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo Sudan is in a critical situation from 2023.
