Syria Free Mammograms 2026 Campaign Launches Across 132 Health Centres

Syria free mammogram services

The Syrian Health Ministry officially announced the commencement of the highly awaited national campaign of the Syria free mammograms service today, 7 October. Syria free mammogram services, This bold public health push is named in line with the strong messaging to “Earlier” and right in the middle of the global Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is often known as Pink October.

This state-sponsored initiative hopes to achieve a dramatic boost in the rate of early detection among Syrian women across multiple Governorates. More than 132 medical facilities were immediately mobilized, confirmed the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA). This is a large network which integrates public hospitals and civil society associations, offering rapid, free diagnostic services.

The Ministry of Health is determined to reduce the barriers to accessing health care at the financial level, in order to prevent late diagnosis of oncology cases. This project allows access to life-saving clinical screening opportunities to those in need without restriction.

Participating Screening Centres and Operating Hours

A strong network of urban and rural clinics is integral to implementing the 2026 plan logistically. Now, all of the major hubs such as Baniyas National Hospital are fully operational. They are providing free clinical breast exams and advanced mammograms all month long in October.

These screening centres are easily available to women every day between regular screening hours. The hours of operation that most public hospital radiology departments have set are now standardised with a common pattern of 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM to optimise efficiency due to the high number of patients attending for services. The health authorities strongly recommend that citizens should visit the primary health clinic nearest to them to address with them in the first instance for any physical evaluations and as a second step if the need arises, for advanced imaging.

Who Can Get Tested During Pink October?

The national screening programme focuses on certain demographic groups to ensure effective use of important medical resources. Official clinical guidelines state that the campaign has a clear and specific focus on women aged 40 years and older, and is a ‘routine preventative’ mammogram.

But women who are younger than 40 are not left out of this health initiative. Anyone who has a family history of breast cancer and people who have any of the early warning signs, such as unusual lumps or changes in the skin, can of course request clinical assessments right away.

In addition, medical groups that are part of the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) and other international organizations such as Relief International are actively hosting educational sessions proactively. These important seminars are dedicated to instructing people on self-examination practices, the early signs to look out for, and lifestyle changes that can make a difference.

Closing the Healthcare Gap in 2026 – Syria free mammogram services

Lack of durable infrastructure is a major obstacle in improving cancer outcomes in Syria. As the World Cancer Research Fund has so often mentioned, early diagnosis followed by suitable treatment has a significant impact on the positive prognosis for oncology in the long term.

Finally, the state is making a fundamental step to meet the care gap without any cost to the individual by offering these needed diagnostic tools at no cost at all. The mobilization for Syria in November is to make a clear statement that women’s long-term survival and health in 2026 is a priority.
