UK Meets Israel To Talk Technology And Iranian Threat To The World
While the US is contemplating over the possible Nuclear Deal draft, the rest of the world is thinking of the danger that Iran poses to the Middle Eastern nations.
In discussion were Israel and UK where foreign ministers of both sides discussed ways to mitigate risks posed by Iran. Going back to the initial days of elbow greetings, the world leaders also discussed other issues like bilateral ties and the need for a travel corridor.
The travel bubble has been UK’s favourite mode of transportation since the Covid-19 pandemic disrupted the travel and tourism industry. While in discussions with Israel’s Gabi Ashkenazi, the British counterpart Michael Gove said that Britain was also interested to study a COVID “green pass” smartphone app that could soon be the model for vaccine passports in the UK.
A significant point of interest for the British minister remains the Coronavirus certification endeavour that a lot of European nations are also looking at. Mr. Gove is currently, in-charge of a study into how coronavirus certification might work in the UK. No wonder he has been a supporter of the Israeli scheme for weeks. The visit has also involved meeting with Israel’s health minister, Yuli Edelstein and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
