Yemeni leader meets with Saudi defense minister
Rashad Al-Alimi, the chairperson of the Yemeni Presidential Council, and other council members were met by Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman on Tuesday, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

In order to better serve the Yemeni people, Prince Khalid reaffirmed the Kingdom’s unwavering support for the Yemeni presidential council.
He also emphasized supporting the UN envoy’s initiatives to find a comprehensive and long-lasting political solution that brings Yemen peace and development.
Al-Alimi and the council members expressed their gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s efforts, including their financial, humanitarian, and relief assistance as well as their desire to lessen suffering among Yemenis nationwide.
The Kingdom’s contribution to the ceasefire, the revival of the political process, and the achievement of a comprehensive and long-lasting political settlement in Yemen were also praised.
Al-Alimi and the council members received congratulations from the minister on Yemen’s Unity Day, which honors the unity of North and South Yemen.
