Saudi crown prince calls ‘national priorities’ for research, development projects
Saudi arabia– According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia on Thursday unveiled national goals and priorities for the fields of R&D and innovation in order to raise the competitiveness of the kingdom.
Developments in the sectors of health, environmental sustainability, industrial leadership, and future economies consistent with Vision 2030 are among the twenty-year-long ambitions.
According to reports, in order to accomplish these goals, the research and development sector will be reorganized with the creation of a higher committee under the direction of the crown prince. This committee will be responsible for project and budget allocation, performance evaluation, and the facilitation of legislation and regulatory standards.

This will work in tandem with already-available technology like carbon capture and cheap electricity generation.
Saudi Arabia will also try to maintain its leadership position while pioneering the development of new energy sources, including green hydrogen, solar, and wind. It will do this by utilizing its abundant natural resources and current edge as a major global energy supplier.
According to SPA, steps will also be taken to develop the rapidly expanding mining industry sustainably as well as to assure the sustainability of oil demand.
